Guitarist and composer Aaron Larget-Caplan works with PCM students on Saturday September 12 beginning at 11am in a 90min performance workshop. Students will perform prepared works followed by comments from Aaron on subjects of musicianship, presentation, and technique. Through demonstration, the class will explore practice and rehearsal methods, sound production, as well as introduce stretches for hands and arms. Questions from students and audience will be welcome. Open to the public, Aaron will perform a concert featuring music from his latest album Guitar America 250 – Revolutionaries and Rockstars at 2pm.

Aarol Larget-Caplan
With over 20 years of teaching in public, private, and community institutions including at the Boston Conservatory, University of Massachusetts Boston, New School of Music, and currently the New England Conservatory, Aaron Larget-Caplan works with beginner and advanced students on finding the life in music and music in life.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory studying with David Leisner and Eliot Fisk, his principal instruction came after NEC with Russian pedagogue Dmitry Goryacheve and body study with Catherine Larget-Caplan. Further music studies and coaching came from pianists Seymour Bernstein and Stephen Drury. As a composer, he received coaching from John McDonald, but his predominate teacher has been the over 85 composers who have written music for him.
