Private Lessons

Private music instruction is the core of the Portland Conservatory of Music and the foundation of a fulfilling musical experience and is anchored by our unparalleled faculty.

Chamber Ensembles

Students become part of a chamber music group, from duos to octets, in either mixed instrument groups or traditional instrumental combinations.

As member of an ensemble, students gain a shared sense of responsibility and become better listeners, performers, and musicians as a whole.

Jazz Studies

Our innovative jazz program teaches students how to improvise and to understand contemporary and classic jazz through both ensembles and academic class options.

Early Childhood Music

Infants to five year olds have fun with experience activities that prepare them for music enjoyment. Currently offering classes for kids ages 3-5.

Ensembles

Play music in small groups of various instrumentations and styles.

Academic Classes

Dive deeper into the music with music history and music theory classes in both Jazz and Western Music. Completion of an academic class through PCM earns credit towards the PCM Performance Certificate.

PCM Performance Certificate

The PCM Performance Certificate is a competitive and professionally oriented program dedicated to the musical and personal growth of musicians of all ages. Students can choose to follow the Jazz or Classical Track. There are two certificate levels, Standard and Advanced, that offer a diverse mix of classroom, ensemble, performance, and lecture over the course of 4-6 semesters.
